The Rural and Urban Futures conference invites architects, planners, designers, and builders to explore our state’s connections and differences between rural and urban spaces. Montana’s geographical diversity, from the sweeping plains and rugged mountains to the expanding urban centers, is not unique and shares issues and opportunities with others worldwide.
This conference will explore the dynamic interplay between these rural and urban spaces, examining how they can coexist and mutually benefit from each other. Bringing together professionals from across the US and beyond we seek to inspire a comprehensive approach to building that respects Montana’s past and looks to the future.

The conference features 10 unique, hands on presentations that provided CES credits, the Design Awards ceremony and banquet, and a trade show featuring 40 different vendors.
